Beautiful Soul

God had a perfect plan

He knew just who to ask

He had the perfect soul

Who could complete the task

He gave the soul a body

And made a little girl

With a smile so contagious

To brighten up the world

He whispered his intentions

Told her to just believe

He sent this precious soul

To a faithful family

The enemy knew Gods plan

As he tried to take her life

But God new his plan

The enemy did not suffice

A summer day in June

Gods plan was set in line

The enemy was scheming

He tried just one more time

Leukemia struck her body

But God protected her soul

Mercede kept her faith

Just like she was told

A secret mission hidden

That God already knew

The faith she had been given

Was meant for Me and You

She faced each day with courage

Helping others along the way

Staying faithful to Gods purpose

She never strayed away

We all cried out to God

Please save this precious girl!!

God’s heart was breaking

But new her purpose in this world

A life not forgotten

We learned so much you see

That Mercede is a blessing

Not just to You and Me

But to all who reads her story

& looks at her great faith

Then decides in their hearts

A Beautiful Angel is in Heaven

Monday February 13^th 2012.

Mercede went to heaven last night. She is now with Jesus and reunited with her little friend Claire. She is not in pain anymore. She fought to the very end with strength and courage. Our hearts will hurt every minute of everyday on this earth and we look forward to the day when we are with her again in heaven. In honor of her life (instead of posting words to try to console our family) please post a message simply telling us what she meant to you, how her story affected you. We will have a celebration of her life this coming Sunday, time and place to be announced, for those who want to celebrate her with us. Thank you for loving her.

I write this post with a breaking heart. Mercede is not doing well. The leukemia is taking over her body and has progressed much faster than they thought it would. She is having a hard time breathing so they have her on oxygen. She is really tired and can't stay awake for more than ten minutes at a time. The doctor told us today that she only has a day or two left on this earth. Tonight we had to bring our other kids up here and tell them the news, so they could let Mercede know how much they love her. We are still praying but are losing hope at this point. Please pray for peace for all of us.

Welcome.

First off thank you so much for coming to visit this blog about a special girl named 

Mercede Joy Carmichael and this is her story.

I am nine years old. I have been fighting Acute Monoblastic Leukemia since June 9, 2011. I went through five rounds of chemo and thought I was getting better and almost ready to go home. But two days after Christmas 2011 the doctors told me that the chemo didn't work and the leukemia was back. It made me and my family really sad, but we are still fighting! I have to go through more rounds of chemo, and have a bone marrow transplant as soon as they find a match for me.
The Mission
The main mission for this blog is to get people to share it and send cards to Cede! as well as prayers that God will heal her body in the name of Jesus. She loves getting cards from all over the world and it would sure help her feel better. She is a remarkable little Girl with such a strong faith in God. She tells her mommy "God doesn't need the chemo to heal me". Please take a couple minutes to send her a card! IT WILL MAKE A DIFFRENCE IN HER LIFE BY YOU SENDING A CARD. It doesnt where you live, she will be so excited to see so much encouragment. No kind act is too small.
